    Professional Installation Tips

Key principles our team recommends before every installation.

    Measure Twice, Cut Once

Always double-check dimensions before cutting. Allow for thermal expansion gaps of at least 3 mm on each panel edge when installing in exposed exterior locations.

    Prepare Your Substrate

Remove all dust, grease, and loose material before bonding or fixing. A properly prepared substrate is the single most important factor in long-term adhesion.

    Respect Temperature Limits

Do not apply adhesives or sealants below 5 °C or above 35 °C. Cold conditions significantly extend cure times and can compromise bond strength.

    Use the Right Tools

ACP panels should be cut with carbide-tipped saw blades. Using incorrect tools creates rough edges, delamination, and voids any product warranty.

    Follow the Guide Sequence

Installation guides are written in a deliberate order. Skipping steps — especially priming and dry-fit checks — is the leading cause of rework on site.

    Store Materials Correctly

Store panels flat on a level surface, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Stack protective film side up and avoid point loads that can cause permanent marking.

    Safety Information

Important safety requirements for all installation work.

Read all safety notes before starting work

Failure to follow safe working practices may result in injury to yourself or others, and may void product warranties. If in doubt, consult a qualified installation professional.

    Personal Protective Equipment

    • Safety glasses or goggles when cutting
    • Gloves when handling sheet edges
    • Dust mask when routing or sanding
    • Hard hat on any elevated work platform

    Ventilation & Environment

    • Ensure good airflow when using adhesives
    • Do not apply solvents near open flames
    • Work in dry conditions — avoid rain or frost
    • Store adhesives away from heat sources

    Tools & Equipment

    • Inspect power tools before each use
    • Keep cutting blades sharp and clean
    • Secure panels before cutting or drilling
    • Follow COSHH guidance for all chemicals
